- Western Busway Priority Investigation - Transport/Land Use Integration Strategic Context Review (Client: Department of Main Roads/AECOM)
Analysis of the proposed Western Busway Priority Investigation Area to assess potential economic uplift captured by development resulting from the construction of a dedicated bus route. A comprehensive analysis of land value by land use was undertaken together with assessment of potential development sites along the route. Demographic analysis and indicative ridership figures were generated as part of this work.
- Moreton Bay Rail Link Local Area Plans–Economic Development Analysis (Client: Moreton Bay Regional Council/Parsons Brinckerhoff)
The aim of the project was to establish an integrated design vision for the future TOD outcomes within 800 metres of each of the six future stations along the MBRL. Foresight’s scope of work included an economic assessment to identify business and employment opportunities that may be accommodated in the station catchments to support each stations preferred role and function in the activity centres network taking consideration of vacant and underdeveloped land, as well as timings for [re]development. A residential stock analysis was also undertaken which was used to inform residential development potential.
- Gold Coast Rapid Transit Commercial Opportunities Review (Client: Office of Urban Management/Parsons Brinckerhoff)
Evaluated the highest and best land uses within an 800m radius of the rapid transit stations along the two proposed routes. The scope of work included a review of transit orientated development, small area demographic analysis and forecasting, and comparative economic valuations of proposed highest and best uses. The output from this study was an evaluation of which route would likely yield the greatest economic opportunities.
- Proposed Transit Oriented Development Mixed Use Analysis, Eight Mile Plain (Client: M2 Property Group)
This study investigated the retail and commercial opportunities and potential for a mixed use development for site adjoining the Eight Mile Plains busway and carpark, and in association with higher density residential development already underway.
